Choosing the right early learning center is one of the most important decisions families make. We’re excited to share a meaningful milestone that allows us to support more children and families—Meaningful Beginnings is opening a new early learning center in San Mateo, California.
This marks our first location outside of San Francisco and an important step in bringing our relationship-centered, play-based approach to Peninsula families seeking high-quality early childhood education close to home.
What began in San Francisco as a vision rooted in connection, intentional teaching, and community-focused care is now growing—while staying deeply grounded in the values families know and trust.

Since our founding in San Francisco, Meaningful Beginnings has been dedicated to nurturing the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally. Opening our San Mateo early learning center allows us to extend that same commitment to more Bay Area families while maintaining the warmth, quality, and intentionality that define our programs.
This expansion reflects thoughtful, values-driven growth. Our San Mateo location will be guided by the same leadership, values, and educational standards as our San Francisco schools, ensuring continuity, trust, and consistency for families.
