Recently, our toddlers spent the week making nature potions, mixing leaves, flowers, and spices in little bowls, stirring with sticks, pretending and experimenting side by side with their teachers. It looks like play. It is play. It’s also early science, sensory development, language-building, and the beginning of children learning to follow their own curiosity.
